Peter and Smith Lakes
Peter and Smith Lakes property contains two private lakes in their entirety. Smith Lake is roughly 7.5 acres in size, and Peter Lake is approximately 5 acres. These two small, yet scenic lakes are separated by approximately 250 feet of upland, which would make a perfect location for a cabin overlooking both water features. According to data provided by the State of Michigan, Peter Lake is 25 feet deep, and Smith Lake is 16 feet deep. The northern hardwood forest cover on this property was recently thinned, and the rolling upland terrain is ideally suited for other cabin locations, hunting blinds, as well as a variety of outdoor recreational activities. There are no utility services available to these Northwoods lakes. This property is zoned in Luce County’s Lake (L-4) District, which has a minimum lot size requirement of 10 acres. Seasonal access is provided by a woods road extending north from seasonal County Road 422. This property is currently enrolled in Michigan’s Commercial Forest Act (CFA).
